Product Features:

GRAM++ GIS software is organized as a number of modules namely Import/Export, Map Edit, Raster Analysis, Vector Analysis, Network Analysis, Tin, Terrain modeling, Statistics and Watershed delineation, Digital Image Processing, and Map Layout. The functionality of each module goes as follows Input Output: The Input/Output module gives the facility to import data with other formats into GRAM++ format. The GRAM++ vector and raster data can also be exported into various formats. • Map Edit: This module provides facility for digitization / vectorisation of map on the screen by opening an image / map at the background. • Raster Analysis: The Raster Analysis module is useful for the analysis of a raster file. With the help of this module, basic arithmetic functions (like addition, subtraction, etc), regrouping (class and range), Buffering. • Vector Analysis: The Vector Analysis module gives the facility to query the map, generate thematic and statistical maps and to display the resultant map with various layout features such as north arrow, scale bar etc. • Terrain: The Terrain module provides facility for generation of DTM from contour map and calculation of slope, aspect and generates relative relief map using DTM. It can also perform Visibility Analysis and Profile plotting. • TIN: The GRAM++-TIN module allows to triangulate GRAM++ Vector (only Segment and/or Point) format data. It can also generate contours from Triangulated data. • Image Processing: Digital image processing support is essential in GIS to handle raster data sets such as satellite remotely sensed images, and scanned maps. where u can perform the operations such as Image Enhancement, Image Classification, and Image Transformation. • Statistics: The statistical module help the interpretation of the data information collected. The data / information may be spatial or non-spatial. • Raster Layout: This module provides facility for visualising raster maps in 2D and 3D.It also provides several other integrated raster utilities such as North arrow, Scale bar, Legends. • Vector Layout: This module provides facility for visualising vector maps with the various layout features such as North arrow, Scale bar, Legends. • GRAMNet: GRAMNet module is a Network Analysis module. It calculates the shortest distance between a source node and the destination node. It is also used for Location Allocation problem. • Online Help: The best method of getting used to a software package is via tutorial exercises and online help. Keeping in view the types of users GRAM++, a detailed online help is provided for each function.
GRAM++ is a Geographic Information System software package developed endogenously at CSRE, IIT Bombay. GRAM++ and the suite of products provides solutions for assessing and managing multi-dimensional risks across a wide spectrum of contemporary challenges that require to be analysed and managed through a dedicated Spatial Knowledge Management approach. GRAM++ has also been acknowledged / featured in Govt. of India “Manual of Integrated District Planning” (Planning Commission). GRAM++ and its suits of products Indian made software and provide highest security in terms of data management.
